Storage Units for Moving House

Self storage can be incredibly useful during several stages of your move. You may want to declutter your home while you’re showing prospective buyers around, use it temporarily during the move while you’re relocating your belongings from one place to another or after the move if you’re downsizing or need extra time to figure out how to organise your new home. The choice is entirely yours.

Our website features helpful tips on what any of our units can typically accommodate. We also have our helpful car visualisation tool. If you know roughly the number of trips you will be making in your car, our handy tool will give you a guide as to the likely size of unit you will require. Alternatively, you can pop into the site during our opening hours where our helpful and friendly staff can discuss your requirements with you, show you some different sized units and generally help you make the best choice.

Storage units are available to rent for a minimum of one week. There is no maximum duration – you can rent for as long as you require the space for.

All of the storage units at the Place have their own individual alarm which is activated and deactivated via our security app on your mobile phone or via a secure PIN code. Additionally, all the units require a padlock to secure them; these are available to buy from our merchandising shop in reception. For container units and business units there is also the option of renting a heavy-duty Bluetooth controlled padlock, ideal for when multiple people need access to a unit.

We know that moving house doesn’t always go to plan. Delays in exchange and completion can happen, or at worse a sale can fall through. However, we offer flexibility to extend your storage rental through our online booking system. For more information, you can also contact us.
